There are so many lakes and parks in the upstate region of South Carolina, it’s difficult to select just one to visit!
Whether it’s boating, fishing, camping, hiking, swimming, or picnicking, the lakes offer plenty of summer fun. Most parks also offer wi-fi service for those who need to stay connected to the outside world while on park grounds.
The South Carolina Department of Parks, Recreation, & Tourism operates and manages 47 state parks. Some of the more popular lakes and parks include: Table Rock State Park in Pickens; Paris Mountain State Park in Greenville; Caesars Head State Park in Greenville; and Jones Gap State Park in Marietta.
With more than 80,000 acres of protected lands from the Blue Ridge Mountains to the sand dunes of the Atlantic, South Carolina State Parks protect some of the most inviting natural, cultural and recreational destinations in the US.
