Be entertained by an intimate look at many of South Carolina’s native animals and plants as your journey through the Aquarium takes you from the mountains to the sea.

You’ll encounter surprises around every corner and an experience straight from the island of Madagascar is closer than you imagine.

Roll up your sleeves and reach into the Touch Tank. Touch and feel several species of invertebrates, like hermit crabs, whelk, sea urchins, horseshoe crabs, and Atlantic stingrays.

Have a seat in our 4-D theater, and view a 3-D movie while feeling special effects such as wind gusts, splashes of water and movement under your feet, all synchronized to family-friendly films.

Located on the Charleston Harbor, hours are 9am-5pm daily. You’ll find smaller crowds on weekdays before 11am or after 2pm. During busier times, like weekends and holidays, it’s a good idea to buy your tickets online so you can skip the ticket line. To plan your visit visit scaquarium.org.
