Every summer the Asheville Downtown Association takes the third Friday of each month — May through September — to thank the local community with a free concert!
The city supports and funds a series of concerts held under the I-240 bridge on Lexington Avenue in downtown Asheville. Music varies from funk to folk and from local to national acts. These events happen on the third Friday of each month from May until September, and it’s completely free and open to the public. Beer and food are available for purchase by local vendors and breweries as well!
2014 Concert Lineup: May 16 – St. Paul & the Broken Bones and The Broadcast; June 20 – Drivin’ N’ Cryin’ and American Aquarium; July 18 – Hayes Carll and Chatham County Line; August 15- The Dynamites featuring Charles Walker and Ruby Velle & The Soulphonics; September 19 – Asheville All-Stars and Asheville Rock Academy
